Jacob Jonas The Company West Hollywood Theatre reviews
5 hour delay. No info/updates given to fans.
Hours rolled by with no admittance to the amphitheater. We could hear sound checks, but nothing was being communicated to the fans. Concert scheduled to start @ 1pm. 5 hours of silence from the staff and finally we began seating. The concert started @ 6pm. Again, no real explanation provided.
It was miserably humid. Which would not have normally been a problem, but didn't help the circumstances.
This visit paled in comparison. The venue is nice, but the bathroom facilities are not maintained well during the concert. The rest of the facilities are nice. But the handling of the technical difficulties and lack of fan information really wore people down by the time the show started. This poor handling by the event staff really soured everything.
When I got to my seat, finally, I had a huge projector mounted on a rail directly in my line of sight of the stage. I had to stand up or look around the projector to watch the show. THAT WAS NOT IN THE BROCHURE! Seat location was tremendous. The seats were aweful.
Technical difficulties hampered the show from time to time, but the bands pushed through it. By 9pm, we had seen Skillet, Pop Evil and Seether. I see them whenever they are close. 3 hours remained including BuckCherry and Jacob Jonas The Company, but we had a 4-hour return trip and work the next day. So, we left.
My 2nd visit to Klipsch Music Center. The first visit was Nickelback, Staind and Daughtery. It was one of the best concert experiences I've had and the amphitheater was great even on the lawn.
I will say the front line support staff (Police and EMTs) really did a great job keeping the atmosphere light and expedited trouble quickly to the exits. I saw 5 or 6 people that needed to be wheel chaired out from heat and exhaustion. But the EMTs were quick to respond and navigated the crowd well. The Police and EMTs did a great job that day.
I have seen Seether and Jacob Jonas The Company a few times before. While I missed on Jacob Jonas The Company this time, Seether's performance rose above the conditions and brought some cheer and smiles to an exhausted crowd. Even though they played a smaller set, those guys are true professionals.
